The Gander Oceanic FIR will be implementing a new qualification for controllers who wish to extend their knowledge with a new CPDLC client Operator. Training will begin in April, more details to come.
The biggest semi-annual event on the VATSIM Network is coming fast! There is not that many slots left for the event, so you better get one now!!! The Gander Oceanic FIR will do its best to provide you the best service it can.
After 4 months on leave, I am back in the boat! With the CTP coming up on March 31st, I will need EVERYONE I can and in order to provide the most professional service pilots will on their way across the North Atlantic, I need you to start controlling again and prepare yourself on your own.

Every monday, the Moncton FIR hosts a weekly event called the "Moncton Mondays". The Gander Oceanic controllers are strongly encouraged to come and join the Moncton FIR and control ocean so we get a maximum coverage of the Canada's east coast!
We are proud to announce the launch of a brand new site for the Gander Oceanic FIR! This new site is now fully functionnal, fully adapted to the administration tasks, and fully compatible with an online training program!
